Future Dreams...acrylic on canvas 1010 x 760 x 40 mm this work started its life as Rangitoto Dreams... after hiking around the Island and I imagined it as a peaceful place prior to the Volcano...(The black volcanic rock is at the base of the painting).. As time went on and The Arts Centre was trying to save itself due to lack of funding to maintain it...I have added a simple version of The Arts Centre into the centre and brightened up the surroundings of the painting ...

While The Arts Centre buildings themselves are of varying greys tones, the life going on in the buildings with tenants and visitors alike is very colourful... each facet of my imaginary buildings is a real piece of The Arts Centre windows or doors....

Road Trip South island oil on canvas ..I pastel painted this scene on a summer basis 20 years ago..a completely different look now....I took this photo at the end of winter....between Blenheim and Kaikoura..its quite a dramatic rock ..and still appealed enough for me to paint it $1200
